Eastbourne Borough Council’s Lib Dem cabinet are set to release up to £115,000 into looking at the potential of having a sewage-powered energy facility.
Is it believed that the facility would use energy extracted from the towns’ sewer system to heat the seafront leisure centre which would bring in funds for the council as well as reducing their carbon footprint.

If it is a success, the council believes the energy centre could be developed to provide energy for other types of development and see this as an opportunity to generate funds.
