Each organisation maintains a position of strict neutrality on commercial offerings in the swimming pool and spa industry.
Our shared purpose is to provide independent, evidence-based guidance, training, standards development, and professional support to the sector. Technical advice, good practice recommendations, or published guidance issued by PWTAG and SPATA is intended to support safe, compliant and effective pool operation. It should not be interpreted as an endorsement of any particular brand, product line, or proprietary system.
Manufacturers and suppliers may reference our publicly available guidance where relevant, but no approval, certification, or endorsement by PWTAG or SPATA should be implied or inferred. Where organisations or individuals claim endorsement, accreditation, or approval by either of these bodies, such claims should be treated with caution unless formally verified.
PWTAG and SPATA remain committed to supporting the industry through impartial expertise, technical leadership and the promotion of high standards across all aspects of swimming pool and spa design, construction, operation and management.
To state or imply that a product is endorsed by PWTAG or SPATA is a contravention of the UK Code of Non broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing), specifically Rule 3.
Any company, business interest or individual which promotes a product with a direct statement or implied message that it is endorsed by either of these organisations is required to desist from that action immediately, and to remove any promotional material or references including advertising, digital content, and marketing collateral within 7 days of this notification.
