Leisure centre evacuated after chemical spillage which left one person in hospital

One person left in hospital after overnight chemical spillage at Bramcote Leisure Centre.

Emergency services were called at around 10pm on Monday night (September 2).

Highfields Fire Station and a specialist team from Stockhill Fire Station attended the incident.

East Midlands Ambulance hazardous area response team attended the scene which also included a number of doctors.

Around 30 people were evacuated from the leisure centre. Three were treated at the scene and one person was taken to hospital by ambulance for a further assessment.
